Американська компанія MicroStrategy є найбільшим публічним власником Біткоїна. Нині компанія Сейлора тримає близько 190 тисяч BTC і в нещодавньому інтерв'ю він заявив: продаж головної криптовалюти не планується навіть в довгостроковій перспективі. Але MicroStrategy відносно невелика компанія, не така потужна як BlackRock. А остання активно накопичує Біткоїн. Менше як за півтора місяця фінансовий конгломерат на чолі з Ларрі Фінком зайняв 11 рядок у світовому рейтингу власників Біткоїна. Так, нині на балансі компанії вже 122000 BTC. Аналітики вважають, що приклад BlackRock може стати показовим для інших. Загальні ж інвестиції BlackRock в цифровий актив складають мільярди доларів, а великі гравці не розкидаються такими грошима. А представники Європейського Центрального банку вважать, що Біткоїн провалився і його вартість близька до нуля й прогнозують крах цифрового активу, в цілому, як завжди. В цій ситуації є один маленький нюанс: представників ЄЦБ звичайні люди почують, а Ларі Фінка — ні.

Ларрі Фінк сказав, що не вірить в Біткоїн як платіжний засіб, оскільки вважає його грубим активом. Водночас він бачить в BTC альтернативний спосіб накопичення багатства. Очевидно, тому його конгломерат за 6 тижнів придбав 0.6% усіх Біткоїнів. Можливо, що він має рацію про неефективність головної криптовалюти для щоденних платежів. Але технології не стоять на місці й відсутність віри у Фінка ніяким чином їх не зупинять.

Yes, the company currently has 122000 BTC on its balance sheet. Analysts believe that BlackRock's example can be indicative for others. BlackRock's total investments in the digital asset amount to billions of dollars, and the big players are not splashing around with that kind of money. And representatives of the European Central Bank believe that Bitcoin has failed and its value is close to zero and predict the collapse of the digital asset, in general, as usual. There is one small nuance in this situation: ordinary people will hear ECB representatives, but not Larry Fink.

Larry Fink said he doesn't believe in Bitcoin as a means of payment because he considers it a crude asset. At the same time, he sees BTC as an alternative way to accumulate wealth. He may be right about the inefficiency of the mainstream cryptocurrency for everyday payments. But technology does not stand still, and Fink's lack of faith will not stop them in any way.
